STUDENTS FROM AGROTECHNICAL CLASSES IN THE SMOLENSK REGION WILL GO TO ARTEK
Schoolgirls won the All-Russian "Startup at the Desk" competition. As part of their agro-tech classes, they conducted scientific research in agriculture. Their prize for winning the competition was a trip to the legendary Artek.
Sofia Arzhanaya from Krasninskaya Secondary School conducted a comparative analysis of corn hybrids based on grain yield in the Smolensk region.
"Based on the results of all the analyses, I was able to make practical recommendations for farms in our region," Sofia noted.
Ulyana Ovsienko from Kapyrevshchinskaya Secondary School presented the "AeroFLORA" project, which envisions creating a micro-ecosystem in a field surrounded by forests by installing agroclimatic towers that generate fog.
"I decided to propose my own idea, which could solve one of the most important problems—the survival of seedlings," Ulyana noted.
Winning the competition is a great start to further growth and development. At Artek, young talents will enjoy lab workshops, meetings with industry leaders, and the opportunity to work on their own startups.
