THE CITY OF AGRICULTURAL PROFESSIONS "I'M IN AGRO" HAS BEGUN WORK IN THE SMOLENSK STATE AGRICULTURAL ACADEMY
Today, May 12, the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy launched the interactive educational platform, "City of Professions in the Agricultural Sector," "I'm in Agro," organized by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
Children and teenagers can playfully learn about various professions in the agro-industrial complex and learn about the production processes of the products that we eat every day.
The program is divided into two sections for different age groups: children aged 7 to 10 and teenagers aged 10 to 18. Participants follow interactive routes, complete tasks, try out different roles, and learn step by step how products travel from field to store shelf.
On the first day of the educational platform, distinguished guests toured its locations: Deputy Chairman of the Smolensk Region Government Alexey Kuchumov, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Ekaterina Efremova, Deputy Minister Albert Bakeyev, and Director of the Smolensk Regional Branch of JSC Rosselkhozbank Evgeny Lasy. They toured the themed locations, interacted with young participants, and participated in master classes themselves.
"For the Academy, this project is a chance to show schoolchildren modern agriculture in an accessible and engaging way. The students take an interactive route, try their hand at the field, and begin to understand how promising their future career choices may be," noted Acting Rector of the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy, Sergeу Kharitonov.
The interactive platform, "City of Professions in the Agricultural Industry," "I'm in Agro," will run at the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy until May 18.
