THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE IS BEING BUILT AT THE SCHOOL DESK
At the MBEI "Secondary School No. 1" in Velizh, the results of the "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex" project, implemented within the framework of the national "Technological Support for Food Security" project, were summed up.
The meeting participants—representatives of government, science, and business—shared the project's progress and discussed agroecological education, as well as the appeal of modern innovative agricultural production methods for children and adults. This is especially significant in the context of the country's leadership's declared course towards import substitution and food security.
Representatives of the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy also participated in the event, being directly involved in the "school-university-enterprise" chain and implementing educational programs to prepare qualified specialists capable of solving the pressing issues of the agro-industrial complex.
After the official part of the course, students in the agro-technology classes demonstrated their acquired knowledge and conducted practical workshops on agricultural technology.
The creation of agro-technology classes is an important step in the development of the agro-industrial complex and it inspires a new generation to choose a career in agriculture.
