MORE THAN 200 SCHOOLCHILDREN WERE INTRODUCED TO THE ACADEMY
The Smolensk State Agricultural Academy once again opened its doors to those who are deciding their future paths. The event was attended by over 200 schoolchildren, primarily in the 9th and 11th grades, from educational institutions in Smolensk and the Smolensk region.
The Academy's Acting Rector, Sergey Kharitonov, opened the ceremony. He noted that the agricultural sector is constantly evolving, and that an education at the Smolensk State Agricultural Academy offers up wide opportunities for employment and professional development.
Particular attention was paid to ninth-grade graduates: faculty deans presented in detail the secondary vocational education programs implemented at the Academy starting in 2026. Alexandra Minina, Deputy Secretary of the Admissions Committee, also discussed key aspects of the upcoming admissions campaign.
In addition, master classes were prepared for Open Day participants, allowing applicants to literally "get a feel" for the profession, try on the role of modern farmers, and become familiar with cutting-edge agricultural technologies.
Eleventh-graders took part in the "Agroteka" quiz on agriculture. Participation in the quiz gives them the right to receive 10 additional points when applying to the Academy.
In summary, it's safe to say that the Open Day became a starting point for many students to embark on a bright professional future. We wish all applicants a successful completion of the academic year and look forward to welcoming them to our Academy as students!
