OPEN DAY AT THE SMOLENSK STATE AGRICULTURAL ACADEMY
Smolensk State Agricultural Academy once again became a magnet for prospective students, agricultural engineering students, their parents, and college graduates. The Open Day brought together young people seeking a sought-after, high-quality agricultural education.
Acting Rector of the Academy Sergey Kharitonov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He encouraged applicants to make an informed choice of their career path and emphasized that a high-quality education received within the university's walls will enable each graduate to successfully find employment and realize their potential in the agricultural sector.
Alexandra Minina, Deputy Secretary of the Admissions Committee, shared details of the admissions campaign. She detailed the admissions rules, application deadlines, and the nuances of how individual achievements are taken into account, which will help prospective applicants navigate the admissions process more easily.
Student life in all its diversity was presented by Danil Veselov, Chairman of the Student Council. His talk about sports clubs, volunteering, and creative activities was complemented by vibrant performances by the Academy's vocal ensembles.
Deans of the Faculties presented program areas, and master classes allowed applicants to literally "touch" their future professions.
A highlight of this day was the announcement of the launch of secondary vocational education programs based on 9th grade, starting in 2026! This opens up new opportunities for an early start in the profession.
The day concluded with an open dialogue: guests received answers to all their questions firsthand.
