BREAD AS A SYMBOL OF LIFE
On the day of Leningrad's complete liberation from the Nazi siege, the Academy held a master class, "What Does Bread Smell Like?" for Smolensk schoolchildren. It took on a special, profound significance, linking modern agricultural technologies with our country's heroic past.
In the Academy's laboratory, the students traced the entire grain's journey: from sowing to the real product. Particular attention was paid to the recipe for siege bread - the very bread that saved lives in the besieged city. The children were able not only to find out what it consisted of, but also to taste it.
The meeting concluded with a tasting of bread made using modern technologies, which allowed the children to take a fresh look at a familiar product and truly appreciate the value of every bread crumb.
"What Does Bread Smell Like?" is more than just a master class; it fosters respect for bread, labor, and our history.
